Lace, but not Lacey

I've been wanting to try lace; so, I was super excited when I picked up my newest library book and found a simple pattern for a lace-like bag. I made the back panel yesterday and hopefully will finish the front panel today or tomorrow. I bought some blue lining and will try to sew! I used left over cotton from my mom's gingham Fair Isle bag. It was the only thing I had that I was sure had the yardage.

Lace isn't nearly as hard as it seems, and it's a lot of fun to have something new for practically every row.
