Ultrasound

My mom keeps telling me that according to Dr. Spock I'm supposed to assume everything is okay. So, it's with that mindset that I'm posting my 8 week ultrasound. I think we're still really early to tell the world, but I'm excited and working with faith (I usually have way too little).

Saturday

Broken Leg

Last Sunday, Grant, his brother Mat, Toshie and I were at the dog park. I was walking to the car and thinking of this amazing yellow butterfly I saw earlier that day and stepped in this pothole. I just totally didn't see it.

I totally broke my freaking leg--fracturing my right fibula and have a cast. I'll have to wear it until July 17th. I have to stay completely off my leg until July 7th. Luckily, I've been able to work from home. Otherwise, I'd be bored to death. Stupid Pothole...

Cause I'm a Pothole

Afghan Square of the Month Club

Kelly and I joined an Afghan Square of the Month Club. Our first square is out of the pictured book. We meet the last Saturday of the month at Cast Away Yarn Shop.

Projects that have a chance of being finished

I really like this sweater so far. I did something a little odd and picked a lace style of make 1. So the raglan seams have lace holes. It's a really fine knit and will probably take ages to finish.

Socks! I'm working on my first pair of socks. I'm knitting them two at a time, toe up on one circular needle. I'm knitting them in Grant's size because if there's one thing an expecting father needs to have, it's pink socks.

Longest Post Ever, Projects!

So, I've been knitting a lot and just not updating:

I'm still working on that silly green hemp skirt... Going on 3 years now. I'm pretty sure I'm past the age that green hemp skirts are allowed, but I'm going to finish it some day.

I'm working on a a blue short sleeve sweater. I'm not sure if I'll ever finish this one. I'm not even sure why I started it. Wouldn't it just look perfect with a green hemp skirt. Hmmm.

This is Penis Pasta. It really has nothing to do with knitting, but it's amazing. I got it from a sex shop in the Castro called "Does Your Mother Know?"

I've been working on a Baby Frog Jumper for over a year now. It was originally going to be for Vince's baby, but I sent Grant to a boys only baby shower with some beer and a chicken rattle instead. I'm not sure it's going to come out at all...

I made this baby tutu out of very pretty yarn. I plan to put an elastic waste on it and possibly sew it to a onesy. I think it will look amazing on a boy or a girl. Grant totally agrees. He can't wait to his his little boy in a tutu--perhaps with a matching hat.

Sunday

Bird Mobile

I made this moose Bird Mobile and thought that I should hang it outside for Easter.

Lots of projects done

Christmas sweater is totally done. I've finished many hats and little projects including a new born tutu! I'm working on a sweater, baby's frogsuit, skirt and baby sweater.

It's raining, and I'm baking plum pie!

Christmas Sweater Almost Done!

Tuesday

Dinosaur Dog Sweater

I made a green dinosaur dog sweater. If I had it to do again, I don't think I would've added the fair isle dinosaurs on the bottom. I don't like the way the edges turned out. Picture to follow!

Saturday

New Hat

I knitted this like 1972 crazy lady hat.

It looks like a weird mushroom when it's laid out flat. Okay, it looks like a weird mushroom on my head also.

Monday

Halloween

We had a fabulous Halloween party! Thanks everyone who showed up... the costumes were amazing!

Hat

I got a little bored tonight. So, I decided to go through my half finished knitting projects. I found a hat that I started like months ago. I don't really know why I started knitting it, but it's finished now!

Update: I so totally took apart this hat. I hated it.

Saturday

Crazy Weather

Press Demo Lightning Pics

Last night was crazy! I woke up at like 4am to the loudest thunder I've ever heard.

Softball!

We totally won our first softball game for this season. We were even 2 players down in the field (silly pigbirdman flu took 2 of our players). I played center field and second base at the same time. We came in second place last season. This league is harder than our summer league, but here's hoping we do just as amazingsauce!

Tuesday

Softball

Um... The Sonic Death Monkeys are so in the playoffs! If we win our next game, 7:10pm 08/03 Rincon Valley Community Park *HINT* *HINT*, we'll be going to the playoffs in first place. We could even get tee shirts and a trophy. Crazy.

OH... and I should probably mention that my Friday night team is totally in first place! I've played all of like 2 games for them, but whatever... I'm so the missing link, but with waaaaaaaaaaay less body hair. Go OTL!

Sonic Death Monkeys

We are currently tied for second in the league! I know, WTF?

League Standings

My Sweater is slowly growing. I'm done with most of the body!
